In the first quarter of 2025, the top navigation and maps applications on the Android platform in Europe showcased varying trends in downloads and user engagement, according to Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained strong weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 220.8K in late February. The app's active users started the quarter at around 18.6M, increasing to 19.2M by the end of March.

Yandex Maps and Navigator experienced a slight decline in weekly downloads from 164K to around 128.5K but saw a steady increase in active users, reaching over 33.2M by the quarter's end. Revenue showed minor fluctuations, with a peak of $162 in late February.

2GIS: Offline map & navigation observed a gradual rise in downloads, reaching 146.6K in mid-March. The app's active user base grew consistently, ending the quarter at approximately 16.5M users.

Google Earth showed a stable download trend, hovering around 124K to 132K weekly. Active users increased from 2.4M to about 2.6M, demonstrating steady user engagement.

Finally, Yandex Navigator saw a decrease in downloads early in the quarter, bottoming out at 84.8K before rebounding to 111.2K in March. Active users fluctuated slightly, ending the quarter at approximately 16.8M. Revenue peaked at $255 in late February.
